Aidan Girt is one of GY!BE's long-running percussionists, joining during the band's first major expansion. His drumming is part of the band's ability to move from near-stillness into overwhelming ensemble force.
GY!BE's rhythm section rarely behaves like conventional rock backing. Girt's role often involves patience, repetition, and pressure: percussion that lets drones gather before pushing the whole group into a physical peak.
His other projects include Exhaust and 1-Speed Bike, where rhythm, electronics, sampling, and political abrasion appear in more stripped and confrontational forms.
