Hrsta is Mike Moya's solo and band project, active from the early 2000s. Compared with the scale of GY!BE, Hrsta works in a more intimate register.
The music draws from folk, ambient textures, drone, and experimental rock. Moya's guitar language remains present, but the arrangements leave more space around voice, atmosphere, and fragile melodic shapes.
Hrsta belongs in this archive because it makes audible one of the quieter paths out of GY!BE: less monumental, still patient and textural.
