David Bryant
Guitarist and tape-loop contributor associated with the band's atmospheric architecture.
biography
David Bryant joined GY!BE in the late 1990s, contributing guitar, tape-loop work, and later electronic texture during the period that produced the band's best-known early records.
His work is closely tied to the band's sense of space: long guitar tones, degraded textures, and loops or environmental sound used as musical material.
Bryant's related projects include Set Fire to Flames and Hiss Tracts, both of which push further into field recordings, room tone, drone, and landscape-like sound construction.
