Maica Mia
A slow, distorted Montreal band where Mauro Pezzente played bass.
profile
Maica Mia was a Montreal band built around guitarist and singer Maica Armata and drummer Jonny Paradise. GY!BE bassist Mauro Pezzente joined around 2013, first in the studio and then live.
The band played slow, distorted, dark songs that sat between post-rock and what it called gloompop. Pezzente plays bass on Des Era.
The band has been on hiatus since 2015. Later Maica Mia releases are credited to Armata without Pezzente.
