Sackville was a Montreal-based folk-rock band active from the mid-1990s into the early 2000s. The connection to this archive runs through the local scene and through musicians who also appear around Constellation and GY!BE.
Compared with GY!BE's scale and volume, Sackville works in a more intimate register: folk-rock forms, understated arrangements, and melancholic songwriting.
The project belongs under crossing paths because it helps map the softer, song-oriented side of the same Montreal period that produced the first GY!BE records.
